it was 1 pm in the afternoon at the ruakaka beach e and my family were out enjoying ourselves when i decided to swim out to my dad who was much deeper than anyone else out on the water once i reached him i realized that he was trying to swim back in but the current was pushing him backward, my dad yelled at me to grab on so i quickly did, we started waving our arms and screaming to try and get the lifeguards attention but no one could see us we tried using the boggie bored my dad had to catch the waves and ride them in but it was no use we waited a little while and then my dad helped me swim in a bit more so i could wave to the lifeguards who saw me and came and got me and my dad.
i will remember that day because its the day my dad helped me not drown at the beach.
