Writing Response
The students of Moriah School collected buttons of different shapes and sizes to represent the 1.5million children who died during the Holocaust.
The children used buttons because buttons represent the circle of life. The buttons are stored in jars and they will soon cover the walls of the school’s Holocaust memorial.
The Holocaust was something that all Jewish people feared. It occured in the second World War when Adolf Hitler took charge. The Nazi’s murdered all Jewish, disabled and gypies or took them to Concentration Camp, where most of them were killed. The were killed because Nazi’s considered them as inferiors.
