“But they are so worn” I wined. “No shoes are too expensive You should be grateful for what you have” Mom Commanded “Aww that is so unfair “ I screamed. I ran to my room and slammed my door.
I went to school the next day and everyone had them. I was so jealous, It was so unfair. I walked home with my friend Brent. He was always towering over me, He was very tall for his age, Especially for a second grader.
He also had the knew shoes that I didn’t have. When I got home I ran to my room and cried my eyes out. The next day I got to school and I felt like the centre of attention every single boy in the hallways had those nice new clean and shiny shoes and every single one of those boys stared at me with that evil glare. I hated it. I could not wait till school was over.
The bell rang I went to my first class and as I walked in I realised that even the teacher had those nice new shoes it was so infuriating. I walked home really slow that day when I got home I saw a box. My mum glared at me “ Open it” she said. I slowly pulled up the top of the lid. I saw a brand new pair of squeaky clean shoes. I couldn't wait to go to school the next day with my brand new shoes.
I will never forget the time when everyone else had something I didn't.
