Fishing comp

It was about 8 o'clock at night when we launched the boat into the water. The kids fishing competition started at 10.00 the next morning, but we wanted to get out early so we wouldn't get trapped trying to put the boat in the water. There was two other people coming out with Dad and I. Their names were Jayden and John, John is the father of jayden, jayden is 11. So we got in the boat and drove away from the land. We got to a little bay at about 8.30. The bay had only 2 or 3 other boats in it. Me and jayden where fishing off the back of the boat till about 11.00. Then we all went to bed.

I woke up in the morning ready for the fishing to start. First we had to go back to where we had launched the boat from because there was a club there that was running the fishing competition, we had to go back for a briefing of how the competition is going to work and where the boundaries are. After that we got back in the boat waited till 10.00 then started to fish. My friend jayden actually had a cast on his arm so it was hard for him to hook the fish. We moved to some different places a few times. In the end I caught about three fish and jayden caught about 5 fish. We had to go back to the club at 3.00 for the prize giving.

Prize giving went for about an hour. Jayden ended up getting 3rd biggest snapper and 4th biggest kahawai. Plus he won two little fishing rods. Then I got 3rd biggest snapper and won a pretty good rod. It was an awesome day.
