I think it’s true that digging holes can build character. This is because it is horrible at camp green lake so they wouldn’t want to do anything wrong so they don’t have to go back. Some unpleasant things at camp green lake is digging 1 hole everyday staring at 4am. Another thing is having minimal sleep and some disgusting foods.
